SPYDERCO Howard Viele C42S Serrated Blade Made in Japan, Rare! Collector Must Have it Brand New in Original Box
Description:
Master knife maker Howard Viele’ s collaboration
with Spyderco is truly a masterpiece and beautifully constructed knife.
Signature Viele styling cues including his three hole mark are evident on the
blade. This knife is discontinued
The C42s Howard Viele was
introduced in 1996, updated in 2000, and discontinued in 2003.
A
Collaboration with custom maker Howard Viele, it started off with an AUS-8
steel blade that was later updated with a VG10 steel and Eccentric pivot pin to
allow adjustment to the pivot and i think prolong the longevity of the liner
lock?
It struck me as a Lovely gent’s folder with the combination of the walker liner
lock, VG-10 steel, Micarta handle scale on the front and smooth G10 scale on
the back side. It is Probably the smoothest opening Spyderco I’ve handled,
despite the small spydie hole in comparison to today’s models. Another nice
feature is that it can also be opened via thumb pressure on the spine of blade
much like some of the Burger and Gareth Bull folders.
