The Tire and Rim Association (TRA) has increased the recommended torque specification from 1.5” – 4” pounds to 3” – 5” pounds on the TR C1 valve cores. This new tool safely tightens tire valve cores to specifications including the mandated TPMS valves with sensors. The possibility of tech error is eliminated. When unscrewing a valve head for tire inflation, the simple-to-use Torque Tool functions just like any other valve screwdriver. But when the head is screwed back into place, an internal calibrator limits the torque to the specified value, making over-tightening virtually impossible. The tool eliminates unpredictable pressure failures—and their unpleasant consequences—that come with over-tightening tire valve cores.
