The probes are fully insulated which provides added protection. The alligator provides a better way to connect, reducing the chance of a bad reading.

17 piece set includes probes that will work with .027 wire, (3)- red straight, 45 degree, and 90 degree, (3)- green straight, 45 degree, and 90 degree, (3)- yellow straight, 45 degree and (2)-black alligator clips. It will also include two set of probes that will work with .040 wire, (1)- blue straight, 45 degree, and 90 degree and , (1)- black straight, 45 degree, and 90 degree.
